Butterflies were my Mothers favourite insect in the Lepidoptera family which includes moths and skippers. Her favourite colour Butterfly was blue and the Ulysses was THE perfect colour in her opinion.
Butterflies&Lace is a tribute to all beautiful butterflies and wanna-be flutterbyes that roam in our gardens dancing around the trees, flowers and plants spreading their happiness as they flutter by.
Needleturn butterflies in jewel tones dance around a large purchased machine stitched lace motif. The design is embroiderd and embellished with a vine trim, stitched with various stitches, beads and sequins.
The finished size will vary depending on the size of the lace motif that is the central feature of your composition.
Butterflies&Lace can be a wall hanging or can be framed for display.
