This small but incredibly beautiful pattern uses Needleturn applique, reverse applique, embellishing and embroidery to bring the Unicorn textile art composition to life.
The legend has it that the Unicorn is a strong and beautiful creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single, large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. Unicorns are said to show mythical properties such as that of someone amazing who is hard to catch or simply a very rare find and also able to give you the thing you always wanted but thought you could never have.
This pattern is for my sea-faring gypsy daughter. I hope this Unicorn helps you find what you are looking for.
