Lil Dove is an embellished shape that has been Needleturn appliqued onto a solid linen background, embellishments include the techniques of beading, embroidery filler stitches, thread painting and combinations of each technique.

The shape is appliqued to the linen background using the technique of Needleturn applique and when finished – it is reverse needleturned onto the next background.

Lastly, the design is surrounded by Batik fabric. The design can be made into a wall hanging or framed in an ornate picture frame.

Hope & Love Hoop was designed for my dear sister after a very personal loss in our family. It is a celebration of life going forward with hope and love still present even in the depths of sadness and despair.

Hope and Love Hoop uses a plain doiley as the base and framework for a thread painted flower, surrounded by leaf and vine trim with tiny tendrils reaching out to the butterfly. A needle-turn applique butterfly floats among the stitched words.

The design is embellished with sequins, beads and buttons.

This design can be used for any sized doiley that you may find in your cupboard or that you may come into possession of.

Size : 12 inch hoop, but could be any size you choose to make it. Clear instructions are included so you can design your very own composition, making it uniquely YOURS!
